It's Friday!

Friday has always been one of those days that I look forward to.  I'm not sure why, I don't work anymore, my husband is retired, but for some reason, Fridays just feel different than the other days of the week.

I finally got around to putting up a few, Autumn decorations.  Nothing big, the older I get the less I feel like getting everything out...simple is best for me these days.

Of course I put up the wreath I made with my girls a few years ago...

and my cute little lit pumpkin that I made with my sister...

And because I will keep my decorations up until after Thanksgiving, I can't forget my little Pilgrim couple.

The weeds and shrubs along the ditch bank are all turning a beautiful rusty - red - brown...

and it won't be long before my lawn is covered with golden leafs, waiting for Bob to gather them up with the sweeper.  Another summer slipped quietly into fall, and old man winter waiting to make his appearance.

Have a wonderful and safe week-end...and say a little prayer for those who are struggling today.

Hugs and Love,
Barb

Hi Barb!

Happy Friday!

I know just what you mean about Friday.

I just sat down, pulled a throw over my lap, and said to Peyton, "I just love Fridays!"

Your home and decprations look so lovely!

And I agree. I went through and got rid of so many of my holiday decorations.

Simple and cozy!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Gee, every day feels like Friday to me. ☺️ I must be doing something wrong. I enjoyed seeing your autumn decor...I try to keep things simple, too. And you’ve made me remember that somewhere I have a Pilgrim couple...and a turkey. 😁 Happy autumn days, Barb, even as you have many things on your plate.

It's made with coffee filters! It took a little time to make, but I think it's so pretty!

What a lovely post. I live in Canada and most of the people I know only decorate for the main holidays of Hallowe'en (not I), Christmas and birthdays. I do love your pumpkin set off with the beautiful light. Enjoy the season.

It's the simple things that stand out. We don't need much to add a bit of Fall to our decorating. The front door is a must and yours is beautiful. Have you noticed that there is hardly any Thanksgiving (especially Pilgrims) decorations in the stores?

Such nice decorations and good job on the wreath,I can feel the warmth of Fall in your home. I've got Halloween with a touch of fall going on, then when October is over I'll add some more fall decor to get through November then it's on to Christmas. I love decorating for Christmas! It seems like a lot of work but I love changing it up. I can't believe it's the Holiday season already - it seems this time of year goes so fast. There's nothing like a Friday!

For the first time ever, I actually put up a few small Fall decorations around my house. It's been kinda fun to come around the corner and see some pumpkins or fall leaves! I love your lighted pumpkin! That is so cute!

Hello, sweet friend.
Fridays are the best!
Of course we look forward to them, because my sweet hubby's schedule is that he is off for three day weekends every week :)
Love your pretty decorations and those that you made with loved ones surely have special meaning and put a smile on your face.

Have a great day.

I love your Autumn decorations Barb. Especially the pilgrims. So lovely and I can totally understand the ones you have made with your girls, etc. being favourites and having deep meaning. I wish I had a relationship with my youngest daughter and that I didn't have to live so far away from all my children. Sometimes it makes me sad. Love you my sweet friend. ((((hugs)))) xoxo

Hi my dearest friend,
I have been on that 10 day Social Media fast and am now doing catch up. I loved reading your blog post today. I like your decorations and of course, I am simplifying these days too. I don't do a lot with Halloween. I do more fall stuff. You are so creative. I know Amber has that gene.
I'm happy they are home and it looks like they had a great time. I pray that you are doing OK as your dearest Mom is slipping away. Just know I am thinking about you all and praying for the comfort and peace that will surely come. I always thought your Mom was such a cute lady and I know it has been hard to go through the gradual decline. Sending loving thoughts, lots of prayers and big hugs your way!
