Last Camping Trip of the Year...

My daughter and her husband invited us to go camping with them one last time for the year.  We went to a beautiful place that is almost impossible to find a spot in during the summer...but not in the fall.   You can get t.v reception there with a digital antenna and we wanted to watch, General Conference, a bi-annual conference that our church has for two days twice a year, and airs on our local t.v. channel.

It was just beautiful...look at that sky!   I really felt so inspired, listening to conference in this beautiful setting, I feel so blessed to be in what I consider, God's country.

Our trailer was parked right next to this beautiful creek, so at night it lulled me to sleep.

It was the perfect afternoon to go fly fishing...didn't catch anything, but Bob had fun!

The colors haven't completely changed yet, but these willows were just so pretty, I couldn't resist taking a picture of them.

As you can see the mountains are covered with snow, so we decided to go see how much snow there was up high.  There was only a few inches where we were, but it was beautiful!  I'm not sure I'm quite ready for the snow in the valley, but it sure was pretty in the mountains.

If you look really close, you can see the Grand Tetons in the very distant background! I think we were at about 8,000 feet when I took this photo, and because we didn't have a crazy fire season, you could see really far.

We had a couple of storms move in on us (we knew they would ;0) ), so we experienced rain, hail and snow...all in one day!

Such a fun and inspiring trip, what a perfect way to end the summer!

You didn't think I'd leave you with out a sunset photo!?

And I'll just throw one more in for fun!  This is what we came home to - the most glorious lavender sunset, a perfect ending to a perfect week.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12

Be safe friends!!

Hugs and Love,
Barb

We are blessed to have family that wants to spend time (camping time, at that) with us! I know how you feel, so fun!
We didn't get snow or hail but how fun. I love the cozy feeling, when camping!
8,000 feet is really up there! And yes, God spared our forests this year.
Your sunsets are really wonderful and I'm sure more wonderful in person!

Well, we've put away our RV until next year. ~sigh~

Thank you for all your encouraging words!

Beautiful camping spot! It almost looks like the beautiful Sawtooths. It's so great that you had the chance to go camping one more time.
Now to batten down the hatches for the cold months ahead!

Hi, I found you through Jill's blog. Had to pop by as I am an Idaho gal too. Have lived in the Treasure Valley for nearly 20 years.

A very cold time of year to go camping! The latest in the year we have camped has been the first week of September. Even then, it was COLD in the Tetons.

Blessings,
Patti

Hi Patti!

Always nice to meet another Idaho girl! The Treasure Valley is so beautiful, but growing by leaps and bounds! It is a cold time of year to go camping, but I think it's always to beautiful, to see the changing seasons in the mountains.

Thank you for stopping by!!

Hugs,
Barb

That scripture goes perfect with your photos and thoughts. I loved all of it. I felt like I was almost in your adventure. I could feel the beauty of the area, the opportunity to listen to conference in God's Country. Amazing that you experienced all the season too.
It was all beautiful and a peaceful moment with all of you!
Love to you and Bob and hugs too!
