A great Homemade All-Purpose Spray Cleaner!

Today has been one of those days where you just want to stay inside - it's cold and rainy and I don't feel like freezing!  It's a good day to get some of those cleaning jobs done!

I have asthma, so I like to make my own cleaning products.  I thought I would share a recipe for an all-purpose cleaner that I just love.  I use this all the time in the kitchen, bathrooms, even on my laminate flooring, it works great!

All Purpose Spray Cleaner

1/4 cup white vinegar
2 cups water
30 drops essential oil
1 tsp. Borax

Mix together in a spray bottle - shake well before using.

Essential oils to try:

15 drops each of lavender and lemon, or

10 drops each of eucalyptus, peppermint, and wild orange, or

30 drops of On Guard blend (This is a Doterra oil, I love them).

Happy Cleaning!

Hugs,

I do not get paid by Doterra to promote their products!

Hi Barb, I have copied this and will make some this weekend. I have all the ingredients at home. Yea!! I like natural products, because of all of the harmful chemicals in store bought brands.
Sorry you are having cold weather, it has been rather chilly here this past week but yesterday and today have been quite warm and humid, so I was able to get some painting on my fence done, I am looking forward to completing this project, as I have other sand boxes I needed to play in. lol, such as my flower, and veggie garden.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hugs,
Sue

I haven't seen this recipe before. I need to make some more cleaner, so I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I wish I could send you some of our warm weather Barb! It's been really nice this week, cool in the mornings, warm in the afternoons, breezy and perfect for outdoor activities. I hope your weather takes a turn for the better.

I make a similar cleaning solution for my floors, but instead of borax I add ammonia. It takes off any layers of wax and soap build up. It's cheaper than the stuff they sell in the stores, and works better in my opinion!

Have a pleasant evening!

Thanks for the cleaner recipe, Barb! I haven't seen Doterra products, I'll have to check them out. I cleaned house today, it was needing it!

Hope your temps warm up. Have a nice weekend!

Barb, I'm gonna have to try this. I already have vinegar and borax. Just need some scented oils if I think I need fragrance. I hate using chemicals and had already decided that when each thing I have runs out, then I'm going to start making my own. Thanks for the recipe!

Thanks for the recipe.
I love a clean house, but I loathe cleaning day. I can't stand the smell of the stuff I use. I have tried many but yuk! I get such headaches.

Good Morning Barb.

I made me a copy of this recipe. Who really knows what all is in those store bought cleaners that we buy. Scary sometimes! This sounds clean and refreshing...
Hope your Sunday is fantastic...
