Happy 2023 and wedding photos!

Well, here we are, staring a new year right in the eye.  Are you falling softly, or leaping into the new year?  Does it feel like 2022 flew by or does it feel like it was a very long year?  I have mixed emotions about that one.  Sometimes it felt like 2022 went by so quickly, other times I feel like it went by very slowly.  Today, as I contemplate the new year, I pray that it will bring more blessings than challenges, more smiles than tears, more love than contention, but most of all, more happiness, peace and love.

I'm not really sure I'm up to new year resolutions this year; they have such a depressing way of coming unglued sometime before February.  But, I will work a little harder on a few much needed changes this year. ;0)  But, today as I contemplate the new year, I will remember that I have 365 days ahead of me to explore the possibilities and promises of 2023 - I will count this day, January 1st, as my first blessing.

*******************************

We had a wedding!  The wedding was absolutely beautiful, although it didn't happen on the 27th of December as planned.  Because of the weather, plans had to be changed, and that left a heartbroken bride and groom.  They went ahead and had the reception on the 27th, and it was amazing despite the upset.  Braedon and Taylor smiled through the whole thing and it was a fun night, one that they will never forget!  I will say, that at the end of the reception it was hard to watch them drive away in separate cars when they should have been together.

Their venue was absolutely gorgeous!  The reception was held in an old barn that had been reinvented and turned into this beautiful event center.  I can remember this barn being there all my life on a working dairy farm, who knew the possibilities this old barn had!

The luncheon was held on the main floor of the barn.  We had soup, rolls, salad and cake.  It was delicious and a perfect meal on a cold rainy day.

The tables were so pretty, simple but elegant.

Lots of cute touches.  This is just a simple triangular wooden stand with string and photos of the kids... so cute!

And of course, the first dance as husband and wife... ahhhh!

The cutting of the cake!  Taylor's refreshments were, donuts, assorted fruit and a hot chocolate bar, it was all delicious.  She decided to carry that theme to the cake... so cute!!

The cute couple getting ready to leave the reception.  They had sparklers and cheering and hugging!  They also had cold and freezing rain!!  But they looked so happy and Taylor looked just beautiful in her going away dress, even if she was only going home. :0(

The happy couple after the wedding!!  The wedding was on the 28th of December, instead of the 27th.  It was just beautiful, and had many special moments, lots of happy tears, smiles, kisses and hugs.  I'm so excited to see where their journey brings them in this crazy, wonderful life!

I pray that 2023 finds you happy, healthy, and ready to start the year off with a positive attitude. Each year I spend with you in this little spot in blog-land, is the best one yet!!  Here's to making more memories and having new adventures in, 2023!!

Be safe! XOXO

Hugs and Love,

Barb

Looks like a beautiful wedding and a lovely reception - and having to delay the actual marriage a couple of days makes it even more memorable. Wishing you all that is good in 2023, my friend. Happy New Year!

Barb, I see that you have some awesome photos for me. It was so fun to be with Bob and you. I'm thrilled that our Taylor Jo and Braedon had everything turn out perfect. I loved it all.
I'm not making resolutions this year because, every year, they are the same. However, I did read a cute thought instead of the usual just make your resolutions to be more loving, kind, and brave. You could choose any of the attributes of the Savior. You are a dear friend, and I think of you often and pray for you both.
Blessings, love, and hugs!
