A Sad Goodbye . . .

On Tuesday, we had to put our Cole to sleep.  After a month of trying everything we could, we realized the kindest thing for him was to let him go...it was very hard.  He is so missed.

MY FAVORITE HELLO...
MY SADDEST GOODBYE.

Be safe.

Hugs and Love,
Barb

What a sweet love and a fine friend Cole was. It is not easy to make those tough decisions. You chose wisely and lovingly.

Such a sad, sad time for you Barb. ((((hugs)))) I remember when we had to have our Jess put to sleep, my heart broke into a million pieces, and I still cry when I think of her. Mitzie has helped to fill the gap somewhat, but in a different, Mitzie way and I know my heart will break again once day when it is her time to go. Take comfort in your memories of happy times with Cole. He was loved and I can tell that he adored you also. Love and hugs, always. xoxo

Oh Barb, so sad.
I'm sorry.
You're Cole had a great life, and loved you all so unconditionally. It's so kind and loving of you to help him not suffer needlessly.
I do hope I will be as compassionate when it is our Rowdy's time.
Sending you lots of hugs.
~K.

Oh my very sweet friend, looking at these priceless photos of your cherished pet made me cry. I'm so sorry dear friend. Losing a pet is so hard. I can't even think about losing our Sammy.
I know this has been so hard. Just know I am sending lots of love and hugs your way.
I have been commenting on all your posts since April and I am hoping this one publishes; it will make me so happy.
Big hugs again!

I saw this post last night when I was on my phone and showed it to my husband. For more than 10 years we had a black lab named Buddy and he looked a lot like Cole. Especially the picture of him with his stick! Buddy developed cancer and we had to put him down much sooner than we would have liked. I know what you're going through and I'm sorry it hurts so much. I pray the next few weeks and months are filled with happy memories of your beloved Cole.

Oh Barb....I am so sorry. Our pets are a big part of our family, especially when they are a part of your kids and grandkids lives. There is an emptiness when they are no longer around. I know he was loved and that he lived a good life with your family. Prayers for you all my sweet friend.

This was probably one of the hardest posts to read, since I've returned to Blogville.
I heard a saying (you might of heard it on local radio),
"Grief is Love, with no place to go." You loved Cole and still do. It's just he isn't here to receive it.

(your comments always cheer me up when I read them!)
