Then later, my husband took me to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. I wish I would have taken a picture. It's a little mom and pop place that has the most wonderful food, and they had it all dolled up! It was so delicious, what a great day!
I made sugar cookies for Bob and a few of my neighbors who needed a little pick-me-up. I used my mom's cookie cutters and her rolling pin, to make them. I can remember using this same rolling pin and cookie cutter to make sugar cookies when I was a girl...how time flies.
Pink February skies . . . it seems like we only get them at certain times of the year, the perfect color for February!!
Have a wonderful Sunday, and be safe!
XOXO
Hugs and
Love,
Barb

What a perfectly wonderful way to spend a Valentines Day. I love the idea of a Grandparents day! Love the photo of you and Bob and your Clara. What a sweet, sweet photo. I just adore it. You are such a cutie pie. Love you to bits! xoxo
What a sweet photo! I have never had the pleasure of visiting for Grandparents Day...not sure that they have them here...but it sounds perfectly delightful. And what a good thing to carry on with the traditions that are so special and a huge part of our lives. Yes, February is for pink skies and there are mornings in February where the smoke curls up from all the houses in rosy puffs. It’s like living in Whoville. 🙂
Hi Barb.....such a great picture of the three of you. your granddaughter is precious and I would be guessing that she would have loved to been heading home with you. These are the years that are so wonderful...when you get to be embraced by your grandchildren at a school party. I know that you made a lot of people happy with those cookies, and how amazing to be able to use your moms kitchen tools. I know this brought you a Blessing. Love the snow pictures...I really want to see snow in our area, but I don't think it will be happening this year. Lots of hugs to you and yours...
I loved that sweet photo of you two with your adorable granddaughter. Those moments with grandchildren are so precous. I sih that more of mine were close.
I’m determined to try your Sugar Cookie recipe. I wanted to do it for Valentines and the day got a way from me.
As always you take the best photos. These area lovely and the sky is spectacular.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way for the two of you!
It seems everybody is making sugar cookies! You know, I have NEVER made them. Ever. Guess I should give it a try. (I'm a master at chocolate chip cookies though. My family loves my cookies!) I took a picture of the pink sky tonight but hadn't thought of how perfect it was for February!
This post has sweetness oozing all over it!! How sweet is your adorable granddaughter anyway. I can see why you would want to scoop her up and take her away!! Those cookies are awesome, it's been so long since I've made sugar cookies but how wonderful you have your mom's rolling pin and cookie cutter! I'm sure those cookies brought smiles to those you gave them to, your a good neighbor. Your sunset pictures are a perfect setting for a February sky!
Oh, I love this post! It is precious to have that picture with both your Grand and your Sweetheart.
Perfect Valentines!!
I love that little pie edged heart cookie cutter, and that old rolling pin... with red handles no less :)
Looks like you had a perfectly lovely day.
Gorgeous pink skies.
Sending warm wishes,

Oh!!! That cookie cutter! It reminds me of my grandma's kitchen.
Big and fancy cookies, I want to be your neighbor!
Happy Valentine's Day to you! LOVE the photos especially the one of you and your Bob. XO
What a lovely picture of you and Bob and your sweet granddaughter :-) Those cookies look amazing, I remember that pattern with my mom's cookie cutters that she had. Looks like a very special day. Hope you have a great weekend!

That is a beautiful photo of you two and your granddaughter.
Barb.........
Oh, little grands are just the best, aren't they! The photo of the three of you depicts perfect joy.
Lucky neighbors, Id say. Homemade cookies are the best, and especially sugar cookies. Lots of time and love go into them.
Your pink/blue February sky photos are beautiful. I guess I need to be looking outside a bit more. I haven't noticed one, yet.
Sending Idaho hugs - Marsha
