Now for the rest of the trip. After we left our beautiful camping spot on the Salmon River, we headed for the, Mackay Reservoir. It's another beautiful camp ground, and beautiful scenery that always makes me smile! We have never stayed here, but I have always wanted to, and I'm so glad we did, it was so pretty!
The water in the reservoir was so pretty and green; it was a little choppy because of the wind, but it was still just gorgeous.
I was sitting on the couch, and just could not resist taking this picture out of the front door . . . I could easily wake up to this every day!
The campground was so well taken care of, we didn't have water hookups here, because it was too early in the year, but we did have power, and that was awesome!
My home away from home!
You can see that there was a storm coming in, and we knew we were in for
some rain - and did it ever rain! You could hear it pounding the roof
of the trailer most of the night!
This is what we woke up to. It was so pretty with the fog nestled into the mountains. I probably took a hundred pictures of the fog, as it would change every few minutes! It did snow on the tops of the mountains, but we only got rain.
Another year, another beautiful trip! We are already planning next years trip . . . and we are dreaming up some really fun ideas!

Oh Barb...
What amazing photos of your beautiful trip!!!
Thank you for sharing...
So happy for you!
Ahh, home sweet home. You captured some beautiful photos of my home turf. Just below the reservoir is another beautiful camping spot right on the river (Sportsman's Access). You need to come up and spend some time and let me show you around.
I love to hear the rain....the night of rain pounding on your trailer roof would have been music to my ears.
Glad you enjoyed my neck of the woods.
Beautiful photos of your holidays scene. Enjoyed the views very much.
Very pretty there! What did you do all day? Take photos? Talk? Craft? Read? Cook? =D
Well, I did take lots of photos, we watched movies, played cards and dice, went for walks...I even cooked! Basically, we just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company.
Absolutely gorgeous!! Sounds like a wonderful and relaxing time :-)
Blessings

Barb, I just love your photos of this beautiful spot! Oh my, the fog makes for some fabulous pictures! You must feel so relaxed when you are camping there. The views are just breathtaking and I love the wide open spaces. Take care, I'm trying to get a little bit caught up on my blog reading tonight. I'm off to see your next post! Hugs, Cheryl
Our loving Heavenly Father did create such a lovely earth. I enjoyed all your photos and envied this trip a bit. It all looked so fun. I love the scenery and I am happy you could do this one. Knowing you, I am sure you got some good reading in too.
Blessings, love and hugs~ Miss you!
Mackay is my home!!!! Those mountains are where my heart is. My parents are both from there and I still have a lot of aunts and uncles there. My grandpa was the water master at the dam for many many years. So much of my happy childhood was spent nestled in that beautiful valley. We lived in Darlington for a couple of years after we were first married before we moved to Rexburg.
Glad you won the giveaway. You are such a gracious friend to people in the blog world.
