It was a lovely celebration, held at the Lion House in downtown SLC. Here are a few pictures.
My aunts wedding dress - it was just beautiful!
The happy couple, probably 20 years ago. In the corner, you can just barely see the picture of their wedding day.
The room was just beautiful! This is the same room that my daughter had her rehearsal dinner in when she got married 16 years ago! I love these beautiful windows! They still have the original glass, all wavy and gorgeous!
My uncle is a man very dear to my heart. He is my mother's younger, and only brother. My mother is sitting right in front - in the pink jacket.
This is the front of the Lion House. The people standing in front are, my sister and her husband and my husband. The Lion House was built in 1856 by Brigham Young. The home derives its name from the stone statue of the reclining lion over the front entrance. This beautiful home was once home to Brigham Young and his large family.
This is a picture looking up the street from the front of the Lion House. It was a beautiful night, and one I will remember for many years to come!
We had lots of fun the next day . . . but that will have to be another post!

Lovely, lovely, lovely photos from what must have been a very lovely family time.
Just precious photography, Barb!!!
But..... Where is a pic of YOU?!? Oh I know, we photographers rarely have anyone take a pic, of us. More's the pity.
Oh and yes, a *Change Has Been Made. ,-)

What a very fun trip. I loved all the pictures and the celebration looked like a great moment of time. I loved the picture of the wedding dress. I just love the Lion house. It has been quite a while since I have been there. I used to do bus tours around Temple Square, the JS Memorial Building and the Lion house and other sites. I loved the history of the Lion House. I will look forward to the rest of your trip.
I am so excited today our dear daughter finally did a blog. I have missed hers for such a long time. It was fun to see all of their travel pictures. We have such cute children and grandchildren, don't we!!
Blessings and hugs to you!
That wedding dress is stunning!
I hope someone wore it since then.
Those are some contrasting pictures of inside the Lion House and then outside looking at the city.
