I love the way my big poplars were casting a shadow on the lawn - bare trees - soon to be filled with leaves!
My poor shed that needs a good painting! Also, my grandmothers bench. When she passed away, my mother told me I could go and get anything that was not taken - no one took the bench, and had always loved it, so I have it now and I still love it. It needs to be painted, any ideas?
My very bare garden spot, filled with old leaves for mulch - can't wait to get my hands dirty! Oh, how I wish the grass was green!
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Warm hugs,

I'm so glad for you that the snow is gone and spring has arrived. Don't you just love working in the dirt? Me, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the bench, I can see all kinds of possibilities there. And isn't it great to have things that our loved ones once owned?
Have a good weekend.
Cheryl
Autumn in this part of the world and just starting to cool down a tad :]
ReplyDeleteI love your yard!! so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful Barb! Your Spring has come. I love your grandmother's bench, how special. As far as ideas, it's so cute the way it is, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend,
Christa
You've got a lot of yard there, to "fluff up"! ,-)
ReplyDeleteI love it that you took your grandmother's bench. Let's see... If the barn is repainted red, how about a soft green on the bench?
But it should be what you want it to be.
It looks like you live in a nice rural spot. How about a slightly faded stencil on the back of the bench. You might want to look into somekind of a wood preservative. I like the unfinished look, but if you painted it I might go for a nice soft yellow. What is your favorite color? I'd keep it soft against that rustic barn. Linda
ReplyDeleteI, too, was thinking of a light color or a clear coating for the bench. My reasoning isn't all aesthetic. I like to be able to see what is hiding under the seat.
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks lovely.
It is going to be another sunny, but cold day.
Oh, to have a yard like yours. It looks beautiful already. It was fun to visit with you yesterday. We had a great day. Went down, ate at Famous Dave's BBQ. Yummy. Went to Hobby Lobby, then to the great Tai Pan. We have got to go to Tai Pan sometime. It was so cool. Have a great day. Love you.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to fill that yard full of kids, BBQs, lots of laughs and so much fun!!! Love your yard!!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wonderfully big yard! Yay for Spring!! I love your Grandmother's bench, what a nice keepsake to remember her by.
Have a lovely Sunday! :o)
