Blackbirds and Beatles . . .

Red-winged Blackbird
Flying through the sky,
Your colors are so vivid,
They seem to come from dye.

Have I ever mentioned that I love Red-Winged Blackbirds?  Well,  now you know.  When I hear their song, I automatically think of Spring!  They don't have the most beautiful song, just a funny little shrill, high pitched song that makes me smile every time I hear it.

Today, I went to a craft shop, and low and behold, I found two of the most adorable black birds - what a find!  They were so cute, sitting there, lonely, hidden behind a large candle holder and an Easter rabbit,  how could I resist them, I hardly ever see black birds, every other color but black.

I appologize for the picture . . . it was bad lighting . . . ya, that's it, bad lighting . . .  they are shiny and oh, so cute!  Now, I can think of Spring all year long . . . and the Beatles, because I also think of the song, "Blackbirds Singing in the Dead of Night", every time I see a blackbird!
Oh my, it's time to give it up, I'm starting to ramble.

Before I go, I want everyone to hop on over to see Vickie at . . .

She is giving away the most beautiful picture, that she painted, to celebrate her 200th post!!  Don't forget!

Have a wonderful Friday.

Blessings,

Cindy-Sue, thanks for stopping by! I also love meadowlarks, I've even seen a few this Spring! I just love birds - I really miss them in the winter. Hugs

Susan, so good to see you! Blackbirds are hard to find, I always find crows or ravens, but cute little blackbirds don't come easy! Hugs

I don't think that I've ever seen a red winged black bird. I wonder if they have them here in NJ?
