I remember so much of this myself. Boy, those were the good ol' days....so full of the simple life. I find myself missing those days. Honestly, it is very hard for me to understand what a lot of the music is about these days. Hope you are staying warm. I was thinking of you yesterday.....how waking up to snow is a norm for y'all. It's been so dreary around here....no sunshine at all. Take care and stay warm and dryShughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12287830519297050445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480650597030131765.post-80525773607604964282018-01-10T17:54:20.939-07:002018-01-10T17:54:20.939-07:00Barb, what wonderful memories! And you mentioned Charlie Pride....one of the best. Love older music.
Thanks for the fun post.
Take care, my friend - MarshaMarshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17249507310481979401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480650597030131765.post-42571592810264708242018-01-09T10:10:38.552-07:002018-01-09T10:10:38.552-07:00We could have a very companionable time walking Me...We could have a very companionable time walking Memory Lane. The radio was not on first thing in the morning at my parents’ home, but it was at my grandparents.’ My mother often played her albums and usually on Saturdays while we did housework. I still like music when I am cleaning. Jim Reeves had such a smooth voice...I remember a lot of his music and was very sad when he died in that plane crash at only 40 years of age. Oh the music we missed out on! Christian certainly has a natural talent for the guitar. I the videos he does; amazing.
My Dad and Mom used to sing all the time when we were on drives. They liked to have music going and my favorite memories of my Dad grabing my mom for a dance and then often times me too.
Music is such a gift in our lives. It's actually suppose to be great therapy for dementia. If you play the persons era of music they often respond in intersting ways.
You can tell I loved reading your thoughts today as always. Your posts are always so fun.
Sending loving thoughts, hugs your way! Love you much~ LeAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18107717294803352571noreply@blogger.com
