October . . .

"October, ruddy-cheeked, comes o're the plains,
And with rustling step it speeds along.
It's feel beats music to the harvest song . . . "
~Albert Laighton~

A few weeks ago my husband and I took a drive up to the hills.  We were just in time to see the Mahogany bushes turning red.  It was a little early for all the fall colors, but just in time to see these beautiful red bushes . . . :0)

Some of the Quaking Aspen were starting to change colors, They are always the first to give up their green for gold.

I loved this photo of the sheep-herders horse.  He's standing with the wind to his back.  In life, I think that's what most of us do; we just turn our backs to the wind and let life push us along when the times get tough, and we have some really tough things going on in the world today.

May the road rise up to meet you; May the wind always be at your back . . . hopefully, we will have favorable circumstances in our life like the old Irish blessing says.  I have been praying for all those who were in the way of Matthew... I hope they feel the wind at their backs soon, and feel comfort and the peace that prayer can bring,

I love this little Sage Grouse!  He's standing right in the road, and I can hardly see him..  What great camouflage!

Speaking of blessings...we had a lot of rain  last week, and this  is just one of the rainbows that I saw.  It was actually a double rainbow, but I didn't get my camera out soon enough to get a picture of it.

Another shot of one of the beautiful sunsets we have had this fall!  Have a wonderful Sunday.

XOXO,

Barb

Heading directly into the wind is never very much fun! Great photos, Barb. Hope that you and your husband are able to take another leaf peeping drive...those red bushes are quite beautiful.

I never cease to be amazed at all the blessings of this beautiful world.

Some of them bring back memories of times spent with family fishing and enjoying beautiful scenery like this. Really loved the rainbow and sunset; I see graphics. Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way!
