My Daybook...

FOR TODAY January 11, 2014

Outside my window... It's dark, very windy, very cold, very wet!  We are suppose to get snow tomorrow - we need it!

I am thinking... How I am always colder when the wind blows!

I am thankful... For a new year.  I think it 's a good thing to start fresh each year. . . I actually think it's a good thing to start fresh each day.

In the kitchen... My kitchen is really pretty boring lately.

I am wearing... Jeans, a rust colored sweater, and my new, sassy, leopard print slippers... ;0)

I am creating...  I just got done crocheting around 4 burp clothes for the Humanitarian Center.  They are so much fun, and look so cute when they are put in our, newborn kits.

I am going... I'm going to church tomorrow to renew my spirit!

I am reading... I'm going to start reading, The Cleansing of America, by W. Cleon Skousen.  This is very deep reading...seriously!

I am hoping... That the roads aren't slick in the morning, I hate slick roads.

I am looking forward to... Cleaning and organizing the spare bedroom, it's such a mess!  During the holidays it gets used to store anything and everything, so come Monday morning, I'm going to put on my big girl panties and tackle it!

I am learning... Patience is not one of my virtues, but I am learning.

Around the house... I realized today while cleaning the bathroom that the door needs to be painted, so that will be on my list of things to do around the house.

A favorite quote for today...

"Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”
~Unknown~

One of my favorite things... One of my favorite things is this new oil diffuser.  I have asthma and sleeping can be hard sometimes.  I put it by my bed with a combination of Eucalyptus and peppermint oil in it and I sleep like a baby!

A peek into my day...

I love these beautiful "pink" sunsets that we so often get in the wintertime!

Have a wonderful Sabbath!

Hugs,

Go visit other daybooks here.  Join in the fun!

It looks so pretty around your place. I love the start of the new year....makes me want to make new starts in so many areas of my life. I really do start out good and then something usually happens and I fall right back into my old habits. I wish you much success in your adventures of cleaning, organizing and starting a new book.... Be safe on those roads and stay warm..

I like that oil infuser, what a good idea. We had some wild winds the last couple of days. I hope to join the YMCA next week, my gd and I are going to go together. So I hope to get more fit and it will get me out of the house a couple of times a week. Stay warm.

Hi Barb! I love the pink skies. I hope your roads weren't too slick today, I hate being on them, too. We have sunshine today and that was a real treat! I'm going to be tackling the job of organizing yet again. It's something I start but seem to seldom finish. I'm determined that this is the year to get organized!
Have a wonderful week and stay warm and safe!

Beautiful pictures of the sunset. I especially love the one with your dog and the colors peeking through the boughs of the pine tree. I think it's great that we can start fresh each day. I also love the beginning of a New Year. Sadly, I usually have such high expectations of what I want to accomplish, but seem to fizzle out as time goes by. Perhaps it is because other good things come along. It does feel colder when the wind blows. We got snow and I hope you did too. We all need it. Hope you've had a wonderful Sunday. Nola

Sweet Barb, I didn't know you had asthma. I have asthma too. I will have to look into that oil diffuser. I've needed a change so I'm back at Sweetbriar Cottage. This link should take you there.

I think I need to spend sometime with you and learn how to really crochet. You do beautiful work. I would love to learn how to edge like you do.
Such a warm and lovely Daybook entry. I always love yours.
I would love to know more about the oil diffuser. I would like to try one. The pictures are beautiful.
Blessings, love and hugs to you both.

Hi Barb, OMG! the baby bibs are darling. What a treasure for a mom to receive. Thanks for the info about the infuser. I may try that for my breathing problems. Love the quote! Chock full of wisdom! I'm gonna copy it and post it on my puter and in other select spots around the house. Love your pictures too! Wondering what kind of camera you have. Happy day dear friend. Hugz!

Barb,
So much good going on there. Loving the bibs, and I'm certain that they will bless the lives of the receivers.
How fun to get an oil diffuser. Glad it helps so much too.

Our Spencer gave me a sunlight lamp for Christmas, and I LOVE it!!
Makes all the difference in the world, and I'm hardly noticing the Winter ** grin**!

Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy those beautiful sunsets!

The burp cloths are so cute (and well made).

I've not seen an oil diffuser before. It is attractive and I'm glad it's helping your asthma.

What a great quote! It could be a life motto. I am intrigued by the diffuser. I have a different one that I have only used once. I think I need to get it out and try it again. It sure worked well the first time. Beautiful sunset scenes...

Finally April~

I know, I'm a little late, but I finally made it! Outside my window ~   I can't even tell you how happy I am that April is here!  ...
