Summers end...

Hi all!  Can you believe that Summer is gone, and Autumn has, not so quietly, taken its place?  I have been really busy this last month, and hopefully, with the change of seasons and the quieter pace it sometimes brings, my life will also quiet down.

Of course, football season is upon us - and we love it!!  My oldest grandson is a freshman this year, and we are really enjoying freshman football.

I'm not sure how I caught him alone on the 30 yard line!

Can you see the rain headed straight for us!

We got sprinkled on, but this beautiful double rainbow was our prize... and they won their game!

We just got back from an 8 day camping trip with some good friends.  We had such a good time, and the weather was just gorgeous!

Here we are all decked out, nice and cozy.

The trees and shrubs are just starting to change, so it was a nice time to take Cole for a walk and check out the scenery.

So beautiful!

So many good visits!

Lots of "checking it out"!

Kathy, making sure we had a clean camp...

And who can resist a fun game of catch!

Mike made sure that we ate good...good friends, good food, good times!!

The fourth day we were there, it decided to s.n.o.w. on us!!  We were all toasty in our trailers, but really, the nerve!!

I just happened to have a Trish Yearwood, Christmas CD with me, (always prepared... :0)), so I played it while I decorated my tree!

The snow didn't stay around too long...this time!

All good things must end, but there's always the next time -  which happens to be this coming Tuesday!!  On to the next adventure!

I hope to find some time to check in on everyone - blessings to you all!

Hugs,

It looks like you are enjoying the beautiful days of Autumn! That rainbow photo is just beautiful! Our trees are changing here too - especially in the mountains. We awoke to snow this morning however - and I hope the colours last a bit more for us. Anyway, have a blessed day!

SNOW!!!! Totally nervey! I love that you decorated and played Christmas music. Hilarious.
The colors of the trees is stunning. I do love Fall, but I am not ready for how cold it's been!

Love your football player. He looks pretty intent! I spy the windmills in the foothills there!

Awesome that you get away and keep a clean camp. That is definitely the way to "rough it"

What a fun trip. You live in such a beautiful area. It's great to support grandkids and their activities. I'm not ready for snow, we had kind of a mild winter last year. I don't really like the snow because I don't like to drive in it. Good to hear from you and to see you posting.

Barb, you are having way too much fun. I wish we could have caught one of Christian's football games. At least we saw the one here. I miss these dear grandchildren. Your camping trip looked like so much fun. The pictures were awesome and I loved your decorated tree. I hear you are off for a dear hunting trip. Take lots of pictures for that one since our children and grandchildren will be there. I miss your blog posts so it is always fun when you are back on.
Blessings, love and hugs!
