Feeling Crafty . . .

This is the time of year that I just feel like getting cozy and crafty.  My idea of a perfect day, is being curled up on my favorite chair, with my favorite hot drink, with my favorite movie and my favorite craft . . . which would be crochet.  For the past few months, I have been working on this cute May Rose Wreath.  I found the pattern here , at Attic24, and I finally finished it today!  I just love the stripy look with the roses!  The roses are pinned into place with colorful little pinwheel pins, so it's very easy to assemble, and disassemble if you want to change things around a bit.

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be - but I fell in love with it and just had to make it.  Now do I give it away . . . or keep it?!  I think it will be a gift... ;0)

Hoping your Saturday is just beautiful!

Hugs,

It's beautiful! Don't you think you should keep it? I'm sure that I would after all that work. This could be changed up so many ways, too. Very nifty idea.

Barb, so pretty! I especially love the flowers! Was it terribly difficult to make?

I wish I could make one of those. So cute. I've crocheted (how do you spell the past tense of THAT word) a couple of afghans but I'm not good at it. The hands just don't have the knack. But I love this. So is it single crochet or double? I think it's the colors that I'm lovin'.

Roe,

If you can make an afghan, you can make this. It's mostly half-double crochet; the roses are very easy - really, check out the pattern, you can do it!

Gina,

Thank you, and no, it was very easy - you should give it a try!

Vee,

I really love it too, but I know someone who would love it more... :0) I can make another one. I agree, you could change it up so many ways!

Barb, this is stunning! My mom tried to teach her girls to crochet, but only my youngest sister was actually good at it. You are a pro! I can imagine this wreath in different colors, one for each season. That would really be pretty!

Barb - that's beautiful! I have never seen anything like that - so different. My but you have been cozy and crafty here lately! I'm so glad fall is here. Even in Texas, we've had an early cool spell. It'll be back in the 80's later this week, but there's been a definite turn in the air. I'm looking forward to the fall season! Good to hear from you!

This is a beautiful wreath, Barb! I think it would make someone very happy to get this, but I'd be tempted to keep it if I'd made it. :) Hope you'll have a beautiful fall week! Take care.

Did you guys get any snow?
