Summer blog break is over . . .right after the camping trip!

Well, it looks like my summer blog break is over!  It has been a long time since my last post, I've missed blogging!

We went on our annual family camping trip last week, and it was so much fun!  The weather was perfect, no rain, not too much wind, and it wasn't too hot, what more could a girl ask for?!

The air was full of smoke from the many fires burning in Idaho, Utah, Montana, Nevada and California.  It seems like they all funnel right to Idaho.  But I must say, there was less smoke in the hills than in the valley!

 The sunsets were beautiful!

We had such a good time, and it seems we grow just a bit each time we go!  This was our caravan this year!

The kids had a really good time playing and hiking - so much to do, so little time!  Shooting seemed like it was the most fun though, everyone got a turn!

Off to check-out their favorite spots!

Christian, helping Caleb with the BB gun.

 Even the dog loves shooting!

Brody, making sure he got a good aim!

Gavin, taking a shot at the target!

Taylor and Gavin, chillin' on the bumper.

The babies got extra bored, so taking a walk was always on the agenda . . . ahhh, sleeping Clara . . . :0)

Playing with sticks is a must!

Taylor, Emily and Clara.

Chris.

Hangin' out in the hammock - Averi loved it!

Taking a walk with grandpa was popular . . .

 So were man-to-man talks . . .

 Getting your face washed . . . not so popular . . .

 Unless you do it yourself!

Hikes are always fun!

We had a few bumps and bruises . . .

and lots of trips to the blue room!

Nathan LOVED to steal an unattended soda . . .

and steal a hug from Clara!  Not sure she was lovin' it!

Averi, Amber and Clara . . . "walkin' down the dirt road",  one of Averi's favorite songs!

Emily trying to get a "ringer"!

Say "cheese" . . .

or just be "cheesy" . . . whatever!

Looks like it's time to go home!

We had such a fun time . . . can't wait for next year!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

Hugs,

Awww...does it have to end? What a great crew! Blogdom will be happy to have you back, though, of course, you chose the better portion. Glad that you've enjoyed such a wonderful summer. We've not done too many summery things; however, tonight we'll change that with some grands and fun...the sparklers we forgot on the 4th of July.

I almost feel like I was on the trip with you. I loved all the pictures and it looked like so much fun. Growing up we went camping and fishing a lot and I loved all of it. Roger and I used to go camping, hunting and fishing and now he just works and I blog and etc. But I do wish for a quiet trip somewhere and he is going to take me to Park City for a few days. He will still probably need to work a little bit. I so look foward to the retirement area. Thanks for sharing the pictures and the fun. We are planning on coming up for Christian and Austin's football game. I guess we will have to cheer for one side the 1st half and the other side the 2nd half.
Love and hugs!

I also felt like I was right along with you. Great photo's and descriptions. From a baby until I was about 8 (when my Nana died) I went camping/fishing/shooting with my grandparents often. I love these posts of yours, they bring back lots of lovely memories.

I have missed you!

Soft squishy hugs

What great pictures, and what incredible views! I'll be honest, I'm not an outdoorsy type. I like my indoor plumbing, LOL! I can appreciate the fresh air and beauty of the landscape, though. I'm so glad you get to enjoy this time with your family, what special memories you're creating with your grandkids.

Glad to have you back Barb! Have a blessed weekend.

Barb - I can feel all the fun and great family times through your pictures! Wish I'd been there, too. I'm always glad to see families whose kids are learning to shoot. Our kids shoot and so do I. What a great time with your family!!! I know you look forward to it every year - your babies are so sweet - Looks like they are going to make great campers, too!
