My Daybook . . .

FOR TODAY Monday, June 11, 2012

Outside my window... Finally, blue sky, and warmer, it's been so cold here!  I don't think we got over 68 degrees all week-end!

I am thinking... About all the things I should be doing . . . ;0)

I am thankful for... Warm weather - the cold really knocks me for a loop . . . thank you arthritis!!

From the learning rooms... I teach young woman at church, and our lesson yesterday was on "homemaking".  I loved the lesson!  This is what I learned:

"If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in it's place, but I have not love, I am a housekeeper . . . not a homemaker."

From the kitchen... Hopefully fresh fish!  I'm also making bread today.

I am wearing... Jeans, a brown t-shirt, and my new , Arcs!  These are my favorite shoes . . . very comfy!

I am creating... Coloring pages for the Humanitarian Center where I volunteer each Wednesday!

I am going... We are leaving Wednesday to go camping for a week!!  This is a much needed vacation.  I think that my poor husband is going stir-crazy, after being cooped up in the house for the last three months!  I can  hardly wait to get away!!

I am reading... I'm finally reading the last book in the Hunger Games series, "Mocking Jay", by Suzanne Collins.  It's really good, a little intense, but good!

I am hoping... That Bob and Christian are  having a good time fishing!  They decided to get up early and go fishing on the river.  I hope they catch some nice fish for dinner!

I am hearing... My house is quiet this morning - only the sound of my computer, humming away!

Around the house... I have lots to do - I'm actually feeling a little guilty sitting at the computer!  I need to get things ready to go camping; vacuum the trailer, make a meal plan and grocery list, do the laundry, water the plants, clean the house, make bread  . . . I'm already tired!

One of my favorite things... blue skies!

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Today - Clean and get the trailer ready to go camping.
Tuesday  - Dr. appointment with Bob, Taylor Jo's soft-ball game, grocery shopping, pack the trailer.
Wednesday - Pull out of the drive-way!
Thursday - Sunday - Enjoy!!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

"Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom.  They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful. "
~Jim Carrey~
Have a wonderful Week!
Hugs,

Once you pull out of the driveway, you'll be wearing a great big smile and not be feeling one bit guilty. Have a fantastic camping trip. May it be relaxing and restorative to your body, mind, and spirit.

Hi Barb! Camping sounds wonderful, and I hope you really enjoy yourself! Just wondering about your new arcs... I have really high arches, and have some custom-orthotics that are a pain to wear, but they deliver the support I need. Just wondering, do arcs have very good arch support? They look really nice and comfy, just not sure whether they'd work for me. I'd be interested to hear more of what you think about them.

You two enjoy every moment of your break. I wish we could travel a long. I can't get Roger to take a break. I am so hoping he will retire next year. I can tell he is getting very tired. I also wish I was there for a piece of your fresh baked bread and fish. It sounds so good. I always love your thoughts and thanks for being such a choice friend to me and I am so happy we share grandchildren together.
