Gratitude. . . Saturday, and some sweetness!

Each Tuesday - or in this case Saturday, I am writing about something that I am grateful for!  Today, I am thankful for construction workers, the men and women that work so hard, no matter what the weather!  My husband is a pipefitter, and has worked construction for 38 years.  For the past 8 years, my son has been a heavy equipment operator.  I know how many times I  sent my husband, and son out in miserable weather to go to work - either so bone chilling that you had to dress like a snowman, or so hot that you could fry and egg on their hard hats!  So this is a big shout-out to all those men and women who work construction . . . THANK YOU!!

Yesterday was such a nice day!  I had some of my grandchildren here, and they had such fun playing in the leaves. . . so cute!

 Emily and Caleb uncovering Brody!

I wonder what they're plotting?!

Gotta love that cute face!!

Brody, showing me a huge leaf . . . it's amazing!

Caleb throwing leaves at me! Check out Emily in the background - she makes the funniest faces!

Caleb is such a good helper!

Nathan just loves Clara - but I'm not sure that the feelings are mutual!  She was sooooo offended by his hugs and kisses!

Last week my sister read me the most perfect thought - it went something like this

"What if morning came, and you only had the things you thanked Heavenly Father for . . . the night before?"

I will be thanking Heavenly Father for all of you!

Have a wonderful week- end!

Warm Hugs,

Oh, that is such a sweet face! Hopefully as a teenager he'll still hate the kisses.
It looks like they had so much fun with the leaves.
TODAY? Are you smothered in snow?

Every time I see that photo up there my stomach does a loopdy-loop. I could not go out there and sit nor even look down tightly tied to a pole if they paid me generously. I can do heights but in a plane or a very solid building only.

Amen! I think construction workers are great, too. And I have just loved seeing your grandchildren playing in the leaves...the universal joy of autumn! Little Clara will learn to love those hugs and kisses and she and her cousin will be fast friends.

Hi Barb,
Wow, that pic of the construction worker so high up is scary. I couldn't do that for a million bucks. Construction workers have my admiration and gratitude, too!
You have such cute little grands and it looks like they are having such fun at your house!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

You capture the sweetest pictures of your grandchildren. I loved them all. I wish we had our children a little closer so we could play in the leaves. I like the thought by your sister. We do need to take the time to always express our gratitude to our Heavenly Father in our prayers. Sometimes, mine can be a little long. Blessings and hugs for you and lots of love too. Yes, and give my grand kids a hug and love from me when you see them next.

Wow, I never thought about it, but construction workers do an incredible job in precarious circumstances! Thankful for their hard work and diligence!

Great pics of the grands! They're real cuties. Enjoy them!

What a sweet post! Your grandchildren are adorable! They looked like they had a a lot of fun playing in the leaves. Clara is getting so big already! Thank you for sharing their photos.

I agree with you about construction workers. My dad was a brick mason for over 40 years. I'm afraid of heights, and that photo at the top just gives me the chills. :)

How is your sister's healing/re-hab coming along?
