The Thrill of Victory...

Last night, the Panther's played their last game of the season, to determine whether or not they would go to the championships - they won their game, 34-0!  They have only had one loss all season!   We have been so proud of Christian - the whole season he has played like a champ, he was a good sport, played fair and was a good teammate!  In the video, it shows their team doing a Samoan war chant.  They do this at the beginning and the end of each game.  I couldn't get any closer. . . and it was dark . . .and there were lots of giggles by our sweet Averi in the background, so what you see is what you get!  Don't forget to turn off my music.

They played hard...

They were tough...and a little tired...:0)

But, they were good sports, and walked away. . . champions!

One thing I really admired about these kids, was their good sportsmanship.  Good sportsmanship is about playing by the rules, learning discipline, having respect for yourself and the other team, and having self-control.  A good sport has fun because they enjoy playing the game more than the final outcome.  These kids  had good coaches who taught  them how to be good sports, whether they won or lost.  One rule we should teach our kids about being a good sport is to be able to, lose without pouting and win without gloating.  That way, everyone is a winner!

Have a great week-end!

Hugs,

Such a handsome boy! It's so nice when our kids know how to play hard, know how to win, and know how to lose. It takes all three of these things, doesn't it?

Thanks for sharing the thoughts on Christian's last season game. He was so much fun to watch when we were up there. He was on a great team with good coaches. I didn't get to hear the Samoan chant; so it was fun that you go it on video. I loved seeing you and it has been so much fun to have more time with our sweet children and grandchildren. We have the best!
Love you much! LeAnn

Barbara!

It feels as I have been gone forever. Please forgive my not visiting. I feel as if I have been spinning around and around. I am stopped now but a bit dizzy.

It must have been wonderful fun watching his football game. What a handsome lad!

Blessings,

Hi Barb,

That was an awesome season the football team had! I know you are proud of that handsome grandson of yours. What fun it is to watch them playing sports and, most of all, being good sports!

I remember my son played football in junior high until one of the players on the other team got his arm broken during the tackle my son made on him. He did't like hurting anyone. He played baseball and basketball all through school and we attended all the games, even the away ones. He still talks about how we made it to every game. Kids will always remember their parents/grandparents support. Good for you that you are enjoy going! I'm sure Christian was glad you were there.

Have a great day!
Cheryl

Hi Barb, Congratulation to Christian, and his team mates, how refreshing to hear of good sportsmanship, being taught by adults instead of the mis behavior. I know you all are so proud of him. He is such a handsome young man too.
I love our header,such a peaceful scene.
Thank you for coming by and for leaving me such a sweet comment,
Enjoy your weekend.

We sure love our Texas football around here, Barb. Such good life lessons they learn, too, being in sports, teamwork, good sportsmanship like you said - things that they'll carry with them. I know you're very proud of your Christian - he's a very handsome young man! Glad they won!
