Simple Woman's Daybook...

 FOR TODAY - September 28th, 2010

Outside my window... It is pitch black!

I am thinking... That I needed to get my daybook done tonight, because I will be very busy tomorrow, and will not get it done if I don't do it before I go to bed.

I am thankful for... Why do I always have to stop and think about this one?  It should be so easy, as there are so many things I am thankful for!  I guess it's just choosing one of them that's difficult for me.  I am mostly grateful for God's constant and abiding love for me.    I am so thankful that He loves me unconditionally, in spite of all of my imperfections.

From the learning rooms... I learned today that I can go 60 minutes on my elliptical machine!  This has taken some time - it's something I have been working on in 15 minute increments.  I can tell that I am getting stronger each time I workout, because at first my legs felt like Jello after only a few minutes.  Now, I look forward to the time I get to spend on my elliptical machine.

From the kitchen...Tonight I made pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, zucchini (it really was good!), red pepper, onion, mushrooms, olives and turkey burger seasoned with garlic and oven dried tomatoes, and on top,  a mixture of mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.  It was very delicious and filling.  It was also very low in points - I figured about 6 points per slice!

I am wearing... White capris and an orange t-shirt...the shoes came off a long time ago!

A quote I'm sharing...

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
~Leonardo DaVinci~

I am going...
We are leaving Thursday night to go camping!  I can hardly wait to pull out of the yard!  The mountains are so beautiful this time of year - I won't forget my camera!

I am reading... Still reading, "The Cure".

I am hoping...That I can get a good nights sleep tonight.  I have been waking up at 2:00 a.m. and staying awake until 4:15 a.m. - that's when we get up!  I'm having a hard time functioning on 3 or 4 hours sleep!  I have been taking melatonin, but it doesn't help.  If anyone has a remedy for insomnia . . . I need it!

I am hearing...The soft hum of my computer - everyone else is asleep, no noise in this house tonight.

Around the house...I have been puttering.  That's what I do when I don't get enough sleep... :0)

One of my favorite things...Popcorn.  It doesn't matter what kind, I love it all!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Tomorrow - Finish last minute chores around the house.
Thursday - Go grocery shopping in the morning, pack the trailer and get ready to go!
Friday - Relax!
Saturday - Ditto!
Sunday - Ditto, Ditto!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

I'm posting this one for Kimmie at, Serendipity Cafe.  Kimmie bought a purse made from a pair of recycled jeans yesterday.  The picture is on her blog - it's adorable!  I made this purse almost 40 years ago - I thought it would be so cute to make a purse out of an old pair of jeans!   I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same!!

Goodnight all~

Warm Hugs,

Some day, when you have the time, hope you will share more [lots], about your elliptical machine. If only I could find a gentle-on-me, safe exercise, that I'd enjoy doing... So I'd do it daily!

Have tread mill. Dislike it. :-(

Enjoy your camping holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gentle hugs...

I am finally looking at blogs again. I love yours. It is always so calming and fun for me to read. Are you going camping alone? That sounds so fun and the weather looks like it will be nice. The pizza sounds delicious. I think I might have to do that. I am so proud of you with your weight loss and exercise. I need to get my life together and start doing it. I am getting ready for the floor men to come do magic on my floors. What a job. You have fun on your camping trip and be careful. Love you. that purse is so cute. We should make some.

Your pizza sounds delicious, I may try it soon. As for the exercise...amazing, isn't it, how quickly we can make a difference by getting up and doing something! It's that first nudge off the sofa that's the hardest. I'm actually enjoying my exercise now!

I will pray for you to get more sleep. I don't function well without my sleep...plus I'm grouchy.

Happy Spring!
