It was so wet, with more rain on the horizon, so, we only tilled what we needed! Poor Bob, he was almost tilling mud! Thank goodness we don't have a huge garden!
I love seeing footprints in freshly tilled soil! In most years, we could til the garden when the sun was shining and the soil was warm - I love walking on the dirt when it's warm and soft . . . ahhh, not this year, I could have made mud pies!
I did get my tomatoes in - I don't know about other places, but here, we have to put something over the tomatoes to keep them warm. These plastic covers have a hollow lining that we fill with water, so that when the sun does shine - HA, it heats them up and keeps the tomatoes nice and cozy. Do you think four tomatoes plants is enough?
Somehow I captured this funny picture of Cole, he was soaking wet, running as fast as he could toward me with his toy! He looks kind of scary with his ears sticking straight up in the air . . . yikes!! He's a lab, so his ears are usually very floppy!
For right now, mustard weed is the only thing that even resembles a flower on my property! I did plant flowers yesterday, but they don't even look pretty yet, so for now, these will have to do.
Next week it is suppose to warm up to almost 80 degrees! I can hardly wait, we may have hope here in Idaho! Until then, I hope everyone has a warm and relaxing Saturday.

Glad you got some tomatoes in! We are later than ever with our garden. I almost want to just throw in the towel. I just love growing our own veggies though!

We are cooking here in the south, 90's with high index. Love the pictures your soil looks so rich, those foot prints remind me of When I was a child, and would visit my grandmothers home, I had an uncle who farmed her land with a mule, (now I am telling my age) lol, and I would follow him and try and walk in his footsteps. Hi, It's beautiful here today. I've been out most of the day. My dd and I went for a hike and then a walk on the beach. I think it's suppose to rain tomorrow. I think next week is suppose to be good though. Around here you can't really depend on the weather man. It is what it is. I don't think you can ever have enough tomatoes. Linda

Gracious! 'Cole' would be very happy that you film-captured a pic of him with his ear blowing up in the wind! Looking about as fierce as a happy Lab can look. I say a 'happy' Lab, because I'd not want to see how a Lab looks, if its owner is threatened!
I remember one of my d-in-law telling how she was out walking her 2 black Labs, around the neighborhood. A new neighbor approached her and............. 'Ruby' [the older dog] placed herself right between him and my D-i-law. Kind of just "making a statement." I love it.
Such cute covers for your tomato plants! Great idea, for the day's sun's warmth to be gathered by the held water.
Btw, it's fun to read posts, showing the weather in different bloggers home areas. I have a cool, rainy [today] 64 degrees right now [10:30 am]. Some in TX are probably hot already. Etc. Another one of the interesting parts of blogging.

Yesterday, John was finally able to mow the lawn. There a mud track in it, though. Our tulips and lilacs are just now blooming. If it gets hot, everything will fry...
