Chickenpox and Remember When . . .

My sweet little Averi has the chickenpox~~~ouch!  Her mom sent me a picture of her tummy, but bellybuttons don't belong on blogs :O)

Remember how we used to actually want our children to get exposed to Chickenpox?  Now,  children are vaccinated for chickenpox - boy have the times changed!  Remember this song?
(don't' forget to pause my music)

Get well sweet girl!

Poor Averi and her mom... I hope Averi gets over them quickly. There are new medicines now, which I'm sure must help.

Thanks for the video. I remember too many of those things. lol

I think it's so funny that we all remember those things . . . and we are all so young!! How does that work?!

Awwwwww, so sorry.

Was she vaccinated for this? Did it not work? I'm not trying to be nosy, just wondering how this goes... :-)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I remember those seamed nylons...hated the things. I never could get the seams to stay straight, thankfully the seamless nylons and pantyhose came along and I didn't have to wear the seamed ones very much.

Hope your precious little grand-daughter doesn't have too bad a time with the chicken pox. Bless her heart.

Take care,
Cheryl

oh my dear, i had no idea what a miracle child you little grand is. thank you for sharing. and so glad this is being a relatively mild case of chicenpox.

you too have wanted a laundry, which is not in the cellar! so you understand my joy. :-)

you like 'band of horses' too! Especially even, the "older" song. :-) that was written by ryan monroe, whom i kind of "like best." me-thinks his keyboard added so much depth to 'band of horses.' but then, i also love it that [head guy] Ben Bridwell, wanted to have ryan sing that song on the album. nice guys share! :-)

gentle hugs,
