Almost Time . . . .

I can't believe how fast the time has gone by!  Three more days and my little boy will be a husband and father, and I will have another sweet daughter and grandson to love!

Diana and Chris have known each other for well over 20 years.  She grew up just down the road from us, and they have always been good friends.  I remember once, when Chris was about 17 years old, him coming in kind of late - I asked him where he had been, and he said that he had been with Diana.  I was a little concerned because Diana was engaged to be married!   He then informed me, in no uncertain terms, that they were just talking!  Then, he said, "If Diana was not getting married, I would marry her."   I could tell even then that he loved Diana,  he has always loved her.   The years passed, we moved, she got married and had a family and time marched on.  Then, one day, about two months ago, she called him!  They went on a date . . . . the rest is history . . . true love always finds a way.  They have both waited so long to find each other again!

I think I'm ready - my dress is in the closet (along with my girdle), my husbands suit pants are at the tailors being hemmed, the food is in the refrigerator waiting to be prepared for the rehearsal dinner, my grandchildren's outfits are waiting to be ironed and tried on, my favorite hankie is waiting to be used . . . and tears are waiting to be shed.  Do you think I'm ready?  I hope so.

You were born together, and together you shall be for evermore....but let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
- Kahlil Gibran

Barb: I am so grateful to just know you and love you. I wish we could be up there with you. We are visiting a brother in Sacramento or we would be. I am so thrilled that Chris has found the one. Have a precious day and enjoy all the moments. Love and hugs to you! Give those grandchildren of mine and yours an extra hug and love from their Grandma W.

I do believe you have got everything in order, so now go and enjoy yourself, and yes take plenty of tissues.
Our oldest is getting married in July, and I will have to soon get ready for that.
