Simple Woman's Daybook . . .

I'm changing my Simple Woman's Daybook to Monday, I'm just too rushed on Tuesday, so here goes!

FOR TODAY

Outside my window... It has been raining, very lightly, I can't even see the rain falling, but things are getting wet. I complain way too much about the wet weather. In Idaho, it's dry and we need the rain . . . no more complaining.

I am thinking...About the things I need to get done today!

I am thankful for...My health. It seems like everyone is sick or getting sick. I'm also thankful for my family - I really love them so much.

From the learning rooms...I've learned that you can't rush love . . .

From the kitchen...Well, something with leftover ham! I'm not sure what yet, any ideas?

I am wearing...Still in comfy PJ's, having a hard time getting dressed this morning.

I am creating...nothing right now . . . I have a few things I need to be working on, does that count?

I am going...To bring my neighbor a birthday present. She turned 93 on April 1st. She crochets hot pad by the dozen, and they are the most wonderful treasures. So I'm bringing her yarn, so she can keep creating.

I am reading...Well, I finally finished "The Lovely bones", it was a little faster toward the end. Not too bad all in all, the ending was very unexpected though. I'm not sure I would call it a "must read".

I am hoping...That my daughter and her family get well. They all got sick during spring break. I just hope that they can get over it quickly.

I am hearing...Birds chirping in the pine trees, soft music on my computer . . . and quiet, my favorite sound!

Around the house...I will be finishing up some laundry and puttering, that's my favorite thing to do you know . . . putter . . . and I do it well!

One of my favorite things...Is a cup of peppermint tea, yum. I have one most every night, before I go to bed, I think it's very relaxing.

Scripture I am pondering:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ~ John 14:27

A few plans for the rest of the week:

* Get back on track with my diet. So far, I've lost 17 pounds, can't let Easter dinner get the best of me!
* Tuesday with mom and sis.
* Help at a wedding dinner for a friend on Saturday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer - Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer!

Don't forget to go read other daybooks at:

Have a wonderful Monday!!

Me again. I was just checking more blogs and on designing & motherhood blog she has some ideas for leftover ham that look so good. I am going to use all three this week. We have tons of ham. On second thought, maybe I will freeze some for later. I don't think I want to eat ham all week. Love you.

You are making me think that I should read 'The Lovely Bones.' :-)

And I've read the film was beautifully done. Not that that is liked by all, but... It's hard to put a book, on the screen, for every reader.

Hope your daughter and her family gets well soon. I hope, too, that you and your husband don't get it.

Rain, blessed rain. It is snowing in McCall and Moscow. (Right here, we've had more snow in April than all last winter combined!)

The scripture you posted is one of my favorites.
