Thoughtful Spot Sunday . . .

I have decided that all the complaining in the world will not make Spring come any sooner ~ I just need to be content in the fact that Mother Nature will do things on her time, not mine!

This morning when I woke up (an hour earlier), I looked out my window, to my amazement,  right there in my backyard, was the most exquisite,  gorgeous white world!  Overnight, my yard turned into a winter wonderland, everything that had been gray and drab looking, was covered with a beautiful white frosting, it was beautiful!  I sometimes forget how much I love the different seasons that have so graciously been given to us by a kind and loving Heavenly Father.

The Easter season is a good time for people everywhere to appreciate the wonders of nature and give thanks to the Creator of this beautiful world.  This morning, I pondered the power of the Creative Genius who so lovingly provided such marvels for us, His children. I thought how important it is for every human soul to see and appreciate the glory and grandeur of God in everything around us. As I looked out my window, the words to one of my favorite hymns came into my mind, "How Great Thou Art".

My prayer today, is that I can share some of my joy with you,  as I thank Heavenly Father for this beautiful world!

Warm Blessings and Hugs,

Hi Barb,
A beautiful post...thank you for the reminder to be thankful for God's beauty and blessings! I have always loved this song.

This is my favorite song of all - bar none. And Alan does such a beautiful job on it. Barb, sometimes I'm just overwhelmed with the beauty of our world. God didn't have to make such a wonderful place but He did - I think so we could see and marvel at his majesty. Doesn't it make you wonder what heaven's gonna look like? It's hard to imagine anything more beautiful than nature right here on earth!

Sue - Thank you for visiting - I feel the Savior's love for us each time I hear that beautiful song, I know it was inspired. Blessings to you!

Vickie - So nice to see you! I love Alan Jackson's version of this song - isn't it beautiful! I too feel an overwhelming love for God when I see the beauty He has created . . . for us! I don't think I can even comprehend what heaven must look like - I'm sure it will be the most beautiful place though! I have visions in my head of majestic mountains and beautiful waterfalls with wild flowers and blue skies!! I think the song says it all - my heart truly sings with appreciation for all He has given us!
Warm hugs to you.

We talked about the Creation in RS yesterday and I agree, I sometimes think we take our surroundings for granted. Another one of my favorite primary songs is "Whenever I hear the song of a bird or look at the blue blue sky, whenever I feel the rain on my face or the wind as it rushed by, whenever I touch a velvet rose or walk by a lilac tree, I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world-Heavenly Father created for me." I love the simplicity of primary songs. Have a wonderful Monday!

Jess - You are my girl! I am always humbled by the simple beauty that is all around us - Heavenly Father loves us! I also loved that song, it's one of my favorite too, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang it yesterday on "The Spoken Word", it was beautiful. I'm so glad that you are teaching Emily a love for music, she has such a lovely voice and this is a perfect song for her to learn! Love you.
