Mug Shots . . .

Last Spring we sold our travel trailer and bought a new one - yeah us!  Our old one was 31 years old . . . it was time.  When I was cleaning out the old one, I found these cute little coffee mugs.  Can anyone remember these?  I bought them at a thrift store, because I thought it would be fun for my kids to drink hot chocolate from them, but they weren't big enough - I think they maybe, hold 2/3 cup.  No wonder we did not have the problem with caffeine back in the day, you only got two swallows!   Anyway, I don't know what to do with them.

I'm thinking that they would make cute pin cushions, or candles, but really, I don't know what to do with them.  I hate to give them away, because they remind me of being a little girl, and being with my mother and father in coffee shops and cafe's with people drinking coffee from them.  Isn't that silly that I have a hard time getting rid of things like this?  If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Blessings,

Hello Barb - those are very cute mugs indeed. I'd hang onto them. I think you had two great ideas there already. I suppose you could use them for organization, of course. They'd make cute candles. How about if you attached them to some kind of old pottery saucers and made some little birdfeeders to put in the garden? You know those on the little metal poles that only come up about 2 or 3 feet and you stick them in the ground in the flower beds? Those would be cute. You could even hang something off of the handles, hmmmm... or you could find some tiny little ivy's or cactus and plant them in the cups in the garden or the window sill... Or use to hold little gifts...I bet you get lots of ideas on these! Please show us what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm really enjoying your blog!

Vickie - What great ideas, see how creative you are! I love the idea of bird feeders, how cute would that look the garden?! I would have never thought of planters for small plants, that would be so cute - I did think that maybe little homemade bags with assorted tea bags or . . . chocolate might be fun! Thanks for the great ideas, you've inspired me!
Hugs, Barb

Those mugs are adorable! Would they be deep enough to hold pens in?
