Thoughtful Spot Sunday . . .

 A Helping Hand
by Jessie Wilcox-Smith

In church today, we were taught how precious the love of the Savior is and how He can lift our burdens - regardless of why we have that burden.  One of the Savior’s most comforting promises is found in, Matthew 11:28-30, this scripture has given my soul comfort many times as I have had trials that just seemed too hard to bear alone.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”

One of my favorite songs is, "How Firm A Foundation", I love the message in it's words - what comfort it gives me to know that the Savior is always with me, no matter what the trial or burden I am asked to bear.

I pray that all your burdens may be light.

Blessings,

I love that scripture and song also. We learned it in primary last year and ever since then it has had a whole new meaning. I love having a reassurance that He is always with us and ready to help. We just need to let Him in! Love you!
