Snow . . .

"Frosty days and ice-still nights,
Fir trees trimmed with tiny lights,
Sound of sleigh bells in the snow,
That was Christmas long ago."

I just love the thought of an old fashion Christmas - wouldn't it be fun to re-create it?  I know that's not possible, but it's nice to dream!

It has been so bitterly cold here in Idaho, not much snow on the ground, maybe an inch or two, but it is so cold!  I really do love winter, it's one of my favorite seasons and I try not to think of the slick roads or the fact that the thermometer said it was 2 degrees this morning when I got up, but it's so hard think positive thoughts when it's soooo cold!  On days like this, I try to imagine myself sitting in front of a warm fire with nothing to do but to read a good book, watch a wonderful old Christmas movie or crochet something fun.  But, instead, it will be a busy day, full of fun with lots to do to get ready for Christmas.  My sister is coming over this morning to help me tie two quilts and we always have fun when we are together - I love to spend time with her - off to get ready!  Have a wonderful day all.

Blessings, Barb
