The Savior . . .

Once within a Lowly Stable

Once within a lowly stable,
Where the sheep and oxen lay,
A loving mother laid her baby
In a manger filled with hay.
Mary was the mother there,
And the Christ that baby fair.

God sent us this loving baby
From his home in heav’n above,
And he came down to show all people
How to help and how to love.
This is why the angels bright
Sang for joy that Christmas night.

Words and music: Patty Smith Hill, 1868–1946, and Mildred Hill

I love that song. We sang it in primary the other day and was a little sad that I was the only one singing. No one else knew it. But that's okay. I think it is such a pretty song.

Do you know? I've never heard that song. Lovely words, however.

I hope your preparations are coming along well.

That is one of my favorite Primary songs. I love the picture also. Our Primary Pageant is tonight. I am looking forward to it. I loved doing it for 5 years in the 16th Ward. I miss that a lot. Love you, Karen
