Poor Old Nick

It's a sad day today - we took Nick in and had him put to sleep. He was almost 13 years old. Nick was a good old dog. He never caused any trouble, he loved everyone, especially the kids. He had lots of tumors and developed a really nasty cough last year, which just got progressively worse. He couldn't hear very good and he had cataracts, so his sight was not very good either. We felt like it was the kindest thing to do for him. We will miss you Nick - have fun playing with Gabby, maybe now she'll let you catch the ball! Good bye old buddy.

. . . For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a leash no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

I am sitting her crying. Did you have someone to go to the vet with you? I still cry over Cally. But I am so thankful you were there with me. We got Cally's head stone today and I cried again. I am thinking of you. Love you.

I'm so sorry! I don't think I can ever have pets because I can't do what you and my mom have done. It's so sad! I wish I could give you a hug right now.

Thanks you guys, I did not have the heart to take him, so Chris took him. Me and Cole stayed home. Dogs are so in tune with you. Every time I cry, Cole will just sit and put his head in my lap. We will sure miss Nick - thanks again, Love Barb
